TOPEKA (KSNT) – This year’s dream home is a three-bedroom two-bathroom house.
It’s a modern living space with a three-car garage, but more importantly, each ticket supports the work St. Jude does every day, offering free treatment and support to families facing childhood cancer.
“My working-class parents would have had to worry about the bills coming in, you know, the medical bills, the travel bills, the housing bills, whatever bills it is,” St. Jude Patient Cassidy said. “So that was an extremely, just, massive blessing.”
The home is equipped with brand-new appliances and walk-in closets, but each detail of the home is a symbol of hope for the cause.
“It represents so much more than the brick and mortar,” Project Manager Gabriel Riccomini said. “It really is a testament to all the trades and suppliers and the sponsors that come together to build this house for St. Jude.”
St. Jude Research Hospital never charges families a dime for treatment, travel, housing or food.

Every raffle ticket sold for this home keeps that mission alive.
“If it wasn’t for the donors, there wouldn’t be a St. Jude. And if it wasn’t for St. Jude, I wouldn’t be sitting here today just getting to live my life and experience all the highs and lows that life brings,” Cassidy said.
Tickets are $100 and there is a limited number. So, if you want a chance to win and support a good cause, you’ll have to act soon. The winner will be announced on the June 18.
