What We’re Tracking
- Plenty of sun
- Staying humid all week
- Hot weekend
Temperatures tonight will drop into the mid-70s under a mostly clear sky. A Heat Advisory is in effect for both Friday and Saturday, as heat indices are expected to climb into the low 100s each afternoon. This will be the hottest stretch of weather so far this season, so remember to stay hydrated and limit time outdoors during peak heat.
Dew points will rise into the low 70s throughout the weekend, adding to the muggy and uncomfortable conditions. Overnight lows will remain warm, only falling into the mid-70s, offering little relief from the daytime heat.
Winds from the south will become breezy, with gusts up to 30 mph at times. This persistent southerly flow will continue to pump warm, humid air into the region through the weekend and into early next week.
Rain chances will stay low in the coming days. Our next chance for showers and storms arrives early next week, but it won’t bring much relief from the heat.
