What We’re Tracking
- Plenty of sun
- Staying humid all weekend
- Hot weekend
A Heat Advisory is in effect for both Friday and Saturday, as heat indices are expected to climb into the low to mid 100s each afternoon. Highs today in the mid to upper 90s to start out the summer season. This will be the hottest stretch of weather so far this year, so remember to stay hydrated and limit time outdoors during peak heat.
Dew points will remain in the low 70s all throughout this weekend, adding to the muggy and uncomfortable conditions. Overnight lows will remain warm, only falling into the mid-70s, offering little relief from the daytime heat.
Winds from the south will become breezy, with gusts up to 30 mph possible at times. This persistent southerly flow will continue to pump warm, humid air into the region through this weekend and into early next week.
Rain chances stay low in the coming days. Our next chance for showers and storms arrives early next week but won’t bring much relief from the heat.
