TOPEKA (KSNT) – City officials are closing a local office building Friday due to HVAC issues.
City of Topeka spokesman Dan Garrett said in a press release that the Holliday Building, located at 620 Southeast Madison, will close at noon on June 27. He said the building is closing due to an HVAC problem.
“We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause to residents and visitors,” Garrett said. “Staff is working with contractors to get this resolved as quickly as possible.”
Garrett said people who need to make a payment should use the online pay portal. He said people can use the pay portal to pay off their monthly bill by using a credit card, debit card or electronic check.

People who have an account that is past due or who have had their water service disconnected should call customer service at 785-368-3111 for help. Customer service representatives are available from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
The Holliday building is slated to open normally on Monday, June 30.
