What We’re Tracking
- Strong morning storms
- Cooler start to the week
- Drier air rolls in
Strong storms continue to push across the area this morning along a cold front. Some of these storms could produce winds gusting up to 60 mph and some small hail. The main threat will be the fact that these storms are slow moving so there are some flooding concerns, especially after yesterday’s rain.
The change in wind direction in the wake of this cold front from south to northwest will usher in cooler temperatures and less humidity for the beginning of the week. Many of us starting out in the upper 80s and mostly sunny to begin the week.
As we look forward to Independence Day, the pattern picks back up again after a quiet midweek. For now, the best rain chance looks to line up on Saturday, but we are watching closely to see if this speeds up to the night of the 4th.
