TOPEKA (KSNT) – A major food production company is recalling more than 360,000 pounds of turkey bacon distributed nationwide due to listeria concerns.
The Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) with the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) announced on July 2 that Kraft Heinz Foods Company is recalling 367,812 pounds of fully cooked turkey bacon products. The food may be contaminated with listeria. Products included in the recall are below:
- 12-oz. vacuum-packed packages of “Oscar Mayer Turkey bacon original” and universal product code (UPC) “071871548601” printed on the packaging under the barcode,”use by” dates ranging “18 JUL 2025” to “02 AUG 2025,” and lot code “RS40.”
- 36-oz. packages containing three 12-oz. vacuum-packed packages of “Oscar Mayer Turkey bacon original” and universal product code (UPC) “071871548748” printed on the packaging under the barcode, “use by” dates ranging “23 JUL 2025” to “04 SEP 2025,” and lot codes “RS19,” “RS40,” or “RS42.”
- 48-oz. packages containing four 12-oz. vacuum-packed packages of “Oscar Mayer Turkey bacon original” and UPC “071871548793” printed on the packaging under the barcode and “use by” dates ranging “18 JUL 2025” to “04 SEP 2025,” and lot codes “RS19,” “RS40,” or “RS42.”

The FSIS said the products were shipped nationwide to retail locations. Laboratory testing showed the products may be contaminated with listeria which can cause serious infections in older adults, people with weakened immune systems and pregnant women.

The FSIS reports that no confirmed cases of illness have been received yet in connection to the recalled products. People who have concerns are encouraged to contact a healthcare provider.
Some people may still have the recalled turkey bacon products in their refrigerators or freezers. If you purchased one of the recalled products, you are urged to either throw it away or return it.
