TOPEKA (KSNT) – The Sunflower State Games are back for the 36th year, giving Kansans of all ages a chance to go for gold.
Whether you’re a seasoned athlete, or just want to try something new, there’s a sport for everyone. From archery to pickleball, the Sunflower State Games bring more than 20 sports together right here in Topeka.
The event is open to everyone, regardless of age or experience.

“Excitement on those people’s faces, not just the adults, but the kiddos who are so excited to participate,” interim director, Mike Randol said. “You know, sometimes they train for months through these events and so then it’s their opportunity to come and finally excel and compete and perhaps get a medal.”
The events will happen this weekend and next weekend, with registration still open for select sports.
