What We’re Tracking
- Near average temperatures
- Warming back up early next week
- Mid-week rain chance
Behind yesterday’s front, northerly winds have returned and are once again bringing in smoke from Canadian wildfires. Unfortunately, air quality has been slightly impacted. The air is considered unhealthy for sensitive groups, but the general public should be okay. A hazy look will linger through the night before winds begin to shift direction on Sunday.
There is a chance for showers tonight, mainly southeast of the Kansas Turnpike. A few isolated showers could pop up farther north Sunday afternoon, but most of us will stay dry to wrap up the weekend. Highs on Sunday will once again reach the upper 80s.
The new week kicks off mostly dry, with highs in the upper 80s to near 90°. We’ll warm into the low to mid 90s by midweek before another cold front arrives Wednesday, bringing our best chance for rain next week and slightly cooler temperatures once again.
