MANHATTAN (KSNT) – The Riley County Police Department (RCPD) reports that a woman was injured last week when she was hit by a truck while crossing the street.
Around 12:15 a.m. on Friday, July 11, officers were called to an injury crash in the 800 block of N. 3rd Pl. in Manhattan. Officers found a 24-year-old woman had been hit by a Dodge Ram pickup truck driven by a 26-year-old man.
KDOT starting campaign to reduce speeding
The woman was taken to Via Christi for treatment of her injuries. The driver was issued a citation for failure to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk, according to the RCPD.
