What We’re Tracking
- Storms tonight into Thursday morning
- Cooler temperatures Thursday
- Temperatures rebound this weekend
A cold front moves in this evening, bringing our best chance for rain this week. Storms will develop near sunset and may linger into early Thursday morning. Some storms could be strong, with gusty winds up to 60 mph and heavy rainfall.
Behind the front, Thursday will be noticeably cooler, with highs in the mid-80s. We will be partly to mostly cloudy through the day. Northeasterly winds around 10 mph will add to the relief from the heat.
Temperatures rebound quickly heading into the weekend, with highs surging back into the mid to upper 90s. Overnight lows will stay warm in the mid-70s. A hot, dry pattern sets in, and some spots could hit triple digits by late weekend into early next week, ushering in a scorcher to close out July.
