What We’re Tracking
- Storms wrap up this morning
- Cooler temperatures today
- Temperatures rebound this weekend
The strong storms have moved out of the area. Now, we are left with just normal showers and thunderstorms. A few scattered showers will linger in the morning hours, but we dry out around noon, if not earlier.
After a cold front pushed through last night, today will be noticeably cooler, with highs in the upper 70 and lower 80s. We will be partly to mostly cloudy through the day. Northeasterly winds around 10 mph will add to the relief from the heat.
Temperatures rebound quickly heading into the weekend, with highs surging back into the mid to upper 90s. Overnight lows will stay warm in the mid-70s. A hot, dry pattern sets in, and some spots could hit triple digits by late weekend into early next week, ushering in a scorcher to close out July.
