TOPEKA (KSNT) – Police say an argument at a local apartment complex escalated until one person drove a car into a nearby building.
Dan Garrett with the City of Topeka told 27 News that preliminary information on the incident shows police were called around 9:50 a.m. on July 18 to a reported hit-and-run incident in the 3500 block of Southwest 29th Street. Officers determined that someone drove a car into a building and just missed hitting a golf cart.
Garrett said police arrested one person for aggravated assault in connection to the incident. He said information on this incident may change as more details become available to law enforcement.

Police at the scene told a 27 News reporter an argument between two people sparked the situation, leading to the car vs. building crash. No injuries were reported in connection to this incident.
