TOPEKA (KSNT) – University of Kansas Head Men’s Basketball Coach Bill Self was admitted to the hospital Thursday with health problems.
According to a release from KU Athletics, Self felt unwell and experienced some concerning symptoms. He immediately went to Lawrence Memorial Hospital where he had two stents inserted.
According to KU Associated Athletics Director Daniel Burk, the procedure went very well, and Self is expected to make a full recovery.

“He is in good spirits and expects to be released from the hospital soon,” Berk wrote.
