TOPEKA (KSNT) – Federal agents made an appearance in Topeka on Friday to investigation a situation at a local post office.
Dixon Land with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) told 27 News that FBI agents alongside law enforcement and emergency management personnel were called on July 25 to a Topeka post office in the 1400 block of Northwest Gage Boulevard. Law enforcement responded to the post office due to a reported “hazardous situation.”
“The FBI has determined there is no active threat to the public,” Land said. “The FBI encourages the public to report any suspicious activity or concerns to local, state or federal law enforcement.”
