What We’re Tracking
- Many drying out
- Brief warm up
- Sun returns next week
Saturday morning starting off still a bit stormy with thunderstorms finally pushing their way off towards the northeast. Many of us today begin to dry out, but there is a chance of a few scattered showers closer to the Missouri border. Temperatures should be able to warm up into the lower 90s today with the sun returning as we go throughout this weekend.
The heat and humidity return as we enter the new week with highs in the mid to upper 90s with heat indices around 100 degrees are possible. The mix of hot temperatures, humidity, and plenty of sunshine will make it feel at times too hot after the relatively cooler and wetter end to last week. But don’t get used to the heat towards the end of the work week as an unusually colder pattern will usher in the new month.
We end out July with showers and storms returning past midweek into the weekend with high temperatures to start out August as low as the upper 70s to lower 80s!
