What We’re Tracking
- Smoky start to Saturday
- Few storms Sunday
- Staying cool to start the week
Wildfire smoke from Canada will linger throughout the start of the weekend as winds from the northeast continue to drag in the smoke. Air quality will remain unhealthy for sensitive groups through tonight. Temperatures tonight fall to a chilly lower 60s with widespread haze and areas of smoke lingering into Sunday.
Temperatures today continue to trend below average, topping off in the lower 80s with areas of smoke that’ll create a hazy look to our mostly sunny sky for Saturday. Thankfully the smoke will mix out as winds shift direction come Saturday night.
Sunday will bring our best chance of a few storms. However, not all seeing the rain, as the storms will be mostly isolated. Cooler temperatures will stick around to kick off the work week.
By the middle of the week, temperatures will gradually warm back into the lower 90s, nearing average for early August.
