LAWRENCE (KSNT) – Kansas Football had its first practice in the newly renovated David Booth Kansas Memorial Stadium.
It’s the Jayhawks’ eighth practice of fall camp, as their season opener is just 22 days away.
“Really, what we need it to be is one of those situations where it’s a place to be on Saturdays,” said Head Coach Lance Leipold. “So when we’re playing, we are able to create a tough place to come play and an environment that is beneficial to the home team.”

Kansas broke ground on the Booth renovations back in December of 2023. Now, their first game is set for Aug. 23 against Fresno State.
