- Smoke continues to clear
- Few storms Sunday
- Staying cool to start the week
A little smoke near the surface stuck around into Saturday, but that will continue to clear out as we head into Sunday thanks to a shift in the wind out of the southeast. A few storms will develop over north-central Kansas, with most staying west of Topeka and lingering into early Sunday.
Overnight, temperatures will drop into the upper 50s and lower 60s, setting us up for another unusually cool August morning.
Sunday stays on the cooler side with highs in the low 80s, and humidity will remain low as dew points hang in the lower 60s. Winds will be light out of the southeast, making for a pleasant end to the weekend.
Cooler temperatures will stick around to start the work week, but a gradual warming trend is expected. By midweek, highs return to the lower 90s, which is near normal for early August. Most of the week looks dry, but our next chance for a few isolated storms comes Wednesday.
