What We’re Tracking
- Few storms today
- Staying cool to start the week
- Return to average late week
Starting off the first Sunday of August feeling more like October with temperatures across the area in the upper 50s to low 60s. A line of showers and storms is moving in from the west to begin the morning and could hold intensity becoming scattered and push into the east. This will be a big factor on how high our temperatures can get today.
That being said, today’s temperatures for all of us stays on the cooler side with highs in the upper 70s to low 80s, and humidity will remain low as dew points hang in the lower 60s. Winds will be light out of the southeast, making for a pleasant end to the weekend.
Cooler temperatures will stick around to start the work week, but a gradual warming trend is expected. By the latter half of the week, highs return to the lower 90s, which is near normal for early August. Most of the week looks dry, but our next chance for a few isolated storms comes Wednesday.
