What We’re Tracking
- Few morning showers
- Staying cool to start the week
- Return to average late week
A few showers are lingering this morning, but they are weakening quickly. Temperatures have dipped into the upper 50s and lower 60s, making for another chilly start to your Monday morning. Winds remain light out of the east.
Cooler temperatures will continue into the start of the work week. Today’s highs will reach the lower 80s, about 10 degrees below average for early August. Low dew points and light winds will make for a very comfortable day.
A gradual warming trend sets in through the week. By the latter half, highs return to the lower 90s, which is near normal for this time of year. An upper-level ridge shifting over the Midwest will be a key driver of the warming. Most of the week looks dry, with minimal rain chances. Humidity will increase by midweek as dew points rise, setting the stage for a hot and humid weekend ahead.
