TOPEKA (KSNT) – The Goodyear Blimp will be honoring Topeka tire plant workers by taking to the skies over the Capital City this week.
Jen Epling with Goodyear said in a press release the iconic Goodyear Blimp will be paying respect to the local tire plant that’s been open since 1945 in a visit that will last from Aug. 4-6. The blimp will be offering rides to local plant associates on Aug. 5 and 6. Goodyear will be tethering the blimp at the Topeka Regional Airport.
“The blimp’s visit celebrates the dedication of the Goodyear-Topeka team and the high-quality tires they manufacture in Topeka every day,” Goodyear wrote in a press release.
